About Pure Chain Advisory

An independent research advisory firm based in the United States.

Pure Chain Advisory works with emerging supplement, wellness, and life-science brands — the operators who have outgrown a single contract manufacturer and a few spreadsheets, but who don't yet have an in-house regulatory or quality function. Every engagement closes with a written, NDA-protected deliverable: a research note, a vendor diligence report, or a regulatory landscape memo, depending on the question.

We exist because senior-level diligence shouldn't require a six-figure annual retainer. A founder weighing a $40,000 vendor switch, an operator scoping a new product line, or a board member asking the uncomfortable due-diligence question deserves a capable second pair of eyes — priced as a fixed fee, scoped to a single question, and delivered in writing.

How we work

1Intake

Before any engagement we sign a mutual NDA and scope the question on a 30-minute call. We tell you up front whether we're the right firm for the question; if we're not, we say so and, when we can, we point you to someone who is. Once scoped, you receive a written proposal with a fixed fee, a defined deliverable, and a committed timeline before any research begins.

2Research

We pull from public regulatory filings, manufacturer GMP records, COA libraries, supplier audit histories, FDA warning letter databases, and direct supplier interviews. Where the question warrants it, we reach the manufacturer's quality contact directly and ask the questions a procurement team would ask. Source material is footnoted in the deliverable so you can verify any claim independently.

3Deliverable

Every engagement closes with a written deliverable. No verbal-only conclusions, no slide decks summarizing nothing. Research notes run 5–15 pages, diligence packages 15–40 pages, with an executive summary, a findings section, a methodology footnote, and a sourced citations appendix. You receive the document in PDF and editable formats; the underlying research file is yours to keep.

4Follow-up

Two weeks of clarification questions are included in every fixed-fee engagement. Send written questions; we answer in writing within two business days. If a question requires additional research outside the original scope, we say so and quote a small follow-on engagement — we don't bill ambiguously by the hour after the deliverable is signed off.

What we don't do

The shape of a boutique firm is defined as much by what it declines as by what it accepts. To keep the practice conflict-free and the deliverables credible:

  • We do not take engagements where we have a financial relationship with the vendor under review.
  • We do not work on retainer for vendors. Operators only.
  • We do not give legal advice. We coordinate with your counsel.
  • We do not handle regulated substances. We advise on the regulatory landscape, not on specific products.
  • We do not take engagements outside the United States.
